In his last position, Bachhofner, who worked at Andritz AG for about 20 years, was responsible for the strategic "Andritz Separation" business field, with a turnover of EUR 450 million and 1,800 members of staff. In this function, the mechanical engineer was in charge of tailor-made mechanical engineering solutions for filter technology in mining, environmental technology, the chemical industry and the food industry. At the RSRG his main focus will be on strengthening the competitive range of services provided by the railway engineering contractor in its home markets of Germany, Austria and Switzerland, as well as in Australia, Canada and Great Britain by activating synergies.
