Its height- and inclination-adjustable three- and five-finger cutting chains and bars deliver exceptional excavation performance, while the self-levelling shaker box ensures precise screening and optimal return of quality ballast to track. When required, operators can bypass the screening unit to maximize productivity and operational efficiency.
Precision Track Control
An integrated track lifting unit allows the operator to control the depth, inclination, and lateral position of the cut to optimize support, track geometry, and drainage. This flexibility also enables the machine to work safely around trackside obstructions.
Integrated Material Handling
The RM80 operates seamlessly with Rhomberg Sersa’s fleet of MFS 40 Material Handling Cars and Power Wagons, enabling a single-line ballast cleaning process. This allows for continuous delivery of new ballast and efficient collection of waste material, offering a sustainable and operationally efficient alternative to side dumping.
